Trauma Therapy

Some experiences don't just fade with time

Trauma isn't always one dramatic event — sometimes it's a build-up of smaller moments that never got properly processed. Either way, when a memory doesn't get "filed away" the way it should, it can keep resurfacing, shaping how you react to things that have nothing to do with the original event.

How I work with it

EMDR is one of the most evidence-based approaches for processing trauma. It doesn't erase the memory or ask you to relive it in detail — it helps your brain finish the job it got interrupted doing, so the memory can sit in the past instead of running in the present. I bring NLP anchoring and THETA sound work alongside it where it helps.

I've witnessed major traumatic events firsthand — this isn't theoretical for me.

You might recognise this if you:

  • Certain memories still catch you off guard

  • You avoid places, people, or situations without fully knowing why

  • You feel disconnected from people close to you

  • Something that "should" be behind you still affects you daily
